Vulcan Specialties takes great care and responsibility in all of its work and guarantees all labor produced by the shop. Along with our guarantees comes great manufacture warranties provided by the outstanding product line that we carry. Yes, we are a small establishment but we offer only the best products available in the aftermarket. Furthermore, we pledge to serve the customer well after the initial visit. Our responsibility is not limited to only what we first service you with but with subsequent check-ups and visits in order to make sure you are a satisfied customer.

Bio:
Vulcan Specialties was started in the Spring of 2003 by Humberto Ortiz. Humberto’s association with hot rods and the aftermarket was established like a lot of today’s enthusiasts, through a role model and in his case it was his father. His father was a traditional rodder of the 60’s era. Being in the middle of the muscle car craze and drag racing’s boom, it was inevitable that this would be passed on.
Humberto was born and raised in Lubbock, Texas. Attending school at Cooper ISD he graduated with honors in 1998. Following his earlier dreams to attend law school and become a prosecutor for the state of Texas, he attended Texas Tech University. After four intense years he managed to earn a degree in English and graduate with honors in both English and Psychology. Shortly after graduating he established an internship with Lubbock’s District Attorneys office. It was there where he learned that perhaps the future would hold something different for him (like possibly a plasma cutter and a TIG welder).
In 2003 the shop was only a part time project. Early on the hard work of establishing a trusted name and passing on the word of quality craftsmanship took a little bit more than just an advertising commercial. Following several projects the word slowly started to circulate about the new shop in town, perhaps the answer to many racers, the resolution to all the hack shops, and the rebirth of a dying culture in rural Texas. Today Vulcan Specialties is a full time operation providing professional results, exceptional service, quality parts, and local familiarity a philosophy that will never change no matter how much the shop grows.
